A devastating high-intensity explosion tore through a vehicle stopped at a traffic signal in Delhi, causing significant casualties and damage.
The powerful blast killed nine individuals and left 20 others injured when it ripped through a slow-moving car near Delhi's historic Red Fort. The explosion occurred during a busy evening when the area was crowded with pedestrians and commuters. Emergency services quickly transported the injured to LNJP hospital, located just a few kilometers from the blast site.
Following the incident, authorities have issued high alerts across multiple regions including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Haryana, Punjab, Hyderabad, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Bihar, scheduled for its second and final round of polling tomorrow, has also been placed on high alert status.
