In Madhya Pradesh's Mauganj district, a 15-year-old girl was subjected to gang-rape by two men and a minor within a government primary school compound on Friday.

According to police reports, the incident occurred when the girl left her home to collect water. The perpetrators, who reside in the same village, overpowered her and forcibly dragged her into the school premises. Under threat, the accused took turns assaulting her. When she attempted to resist, they violently attacked her before leaving the scene.

The teenager's family began searching for her after she failed to return home several hours later. They discovered her unconscious and injured near a paddy field adjacent to the school boundary. Upon regaining consciousness, she revealed the traumatic incident to her family, who promptly took her to Laur police station to file a complaint.

Superintendent of Police Dilip Soni stated that authorities treated the case "extremely seriously," and confirmed that "the minor was detained, while the two adult accused were arrested within ten hours of the complaint being filed."

The victim's family has claimed that while en route to file their report, certain police officers assaulted them and confiscated their mobile phones. SP Soni dismissed these allegations as "unfounded," asserting that police response was both swift and sensitive.

Officials confirmed that the survivor has been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa where her medical examination has been completed.

Initial investigations revealed that the minor accused and the survivor attended the same educational institution where the crime occurred. One perpetrator had previously failed Class 9, and all three had discontinued their education. Their families are engaged in agricultural work.

Officials noted that the victim's mother occasionally worked at the home of one of the accused, and the minor perpetrator had been stalking the girl for some time.

Police have registered a case under Sections 376-D (gang rape) and provisions of the POCSO Act, with further investigation currently in progress.
