Tragic Family Dispute in Uttar Pradesh: Father Beaten to Death by Sons Over Property Inheritance

In a shocking incident from Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, a 60-year-old man was fatally beaten by his own sons during a property dispute. The conflict arose when the father, Durga Prasad, decided to transfer land ownership to his daughter-in-law, excluding two sons who subsequently attacked him. Police have registered a case while the accused remain at large.

A 60-year-old father succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment at the district hospital following a violent family altercation.

In Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident unfolded when a 60-year-old man was reportedly killed by his own sons during a heated property dispute, according to police statements released on Saturday.

The fatal confrontation took place in the Karari area late Friday night, authorities confirmed.

Police investigations revealed that Durga Prasad had intended to transfer land ownership to his daughter-in-law. This decision provoked a violent reaction from two of his sons, Virendra and Vimlesh, who became enraged when denied their share of the property. In their fury, they allegedly assaulted their father with wooden sticks.

When Gyan, the eldest son, attempted to protect his father and stop the attack, he also sustained injuries in the violent confrontation.

Durga Prasad subsequently died from his injuries while undergoing treatment at the district hospital. Meanwhile, his son Gyan, who was seriously injured, was transferred to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj for more intensive medical care.

Authorities have registered a case based on the formal complaint filed by the deceased man's wife. Police are currently searching for the two accused sons, who fled the scene and remain at large.
