The body of a 21-year-old NEET aspirant has been sent for post-mortem examination after a tragic incident in Kanpur.

A 21-year-old student preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination took his own life in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Friday, leaving behind a heartbreaking note addressed to his parents.

Mohammad Aan, who came from Rampur, had only been staying at a hostel in Rawatpur for four days prior to the incident. According to officials, his roommate Imdad Hasan had invited him to attend prayers on Friday afternoon, but Mohammad declined. Upon returning to their accommodation, Imdad discovered their room was locked from inside. After receiving no response to his calls, he alerted the police.

When authorities arrived and forced the door open, they found Mohammad hanging from the ceiling fan.

Investigators discovered a suicide note near the body that read: "Mom and Dad, please forgive me. I am very stressed, I will not be able to fulfill your dreams, I am taking my own life, I am responsible for this."

Officials confirmed that Mohammad's family has been notified of the tragedy and his body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

This incident highlights the intense pressure often experienced by students preparing for competitive examinations in India.
