Gruesome Murder in Jharkhand: Beheaded Body of 17-Year-Old Girl Found in Dumka District

The victim was a resident of Dighi village within Sariyahat police station limits.

The beheaded body of a 17-year-old girl was discovered in Jharkhand's Dumka district, according to police reports on Friday.

The teenager was identified as a resident of Dighi village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sariyahat police station.

Authorities confirmed that her head was located at a short distance from her torso on Thursday.

Sariyahat police station in-charge Rajendra Kumar stated, "Based on our preliminary investigation, this appears to be a meticulously planned murder. It likely was perpetrated by individuals who were very close to the victim. A post-mortem examination has been completed."

The father of the deceased had previously filed a complaint at the police station on November 4, naming two young men as suspects who allegedly fled with his daughter, the officer added.
