25-Year-Old Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of Woman Grazing Goats in Jharkhand's Palamu District

Authorities reported on Wednesday that a 25-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly sexually assaulting a 43-year-old woman in Palamu district, Jharkhand.

According to police statements, the incident occurred on Tuesday when the woman was tending to her goats in a field.

Sonu Kumar Chaudhary, officer in charge of Hussainabad police station, explained, "The woman was reportedly assaulted twice by the accused individual—initially in the open field and subsequently after he forcibly moved her into nearby bushes where he assaulted her again."

"The accused has been presented before the court and remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. We are expecting the victim's medical examination results today. We plan to promptly file a chargesheet against the accused in court."
