Over 120 District Officers Raided Across Andhra Pradesh In Anti-Corruption Drive

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Andhra Pradesh executed a comprehensive surprise inspection operation on Tuesday, targeting more than 120 Sub-Registrar Offices (SROs) throughout the state.

The extensive operation was orchestrated in response to numerous public complaints alleging widespread corruption and illegal practices within the land registration system across Andhra Pradesh.

Multiple ACB teams conducted simultaneous raids across various districts, with ongoing inspections reported in key locations including Ibrahimpatnam in NTR district, Ongole in Prakasam district, and Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district.

The Renigunta Sub-Registrar Office experienced one of the most thorough investigations, where officials uncovered evidence of significant corruption and unauthorized registrations. This particular raid was personally overseen by ACB Officer Mallikarjuna.

The investigation at Renigunta was specifically launched following detailed allegations against Sub-Registrar Anand Reddy. ACB officials are now methodically interviewing property buyers and sellers as part of their comprehensive inquiry into the reported irregularities, while documents and records have been confiscated for detailed examination.

In Visakhapatnam, the anti-corruption drive expanded to include simultaneous raids across five separate Sub-Registrar Offices. Officials are conducting thorough examinations of files and documentation behind closed doors as part of this statewide initiative.

Additional information regarding the total amount of unaccounted cash seized and potential arrests of officials is pending as the ACB continues its extensive statewide inspection operation.
