A fortunate journey to Punjab, assistance from a friend, and extraordinary luck transformed the life of a Rajasthan vegetable vendor who won a staggering Rs 11 crore jackpot in the state lottery.

Amit Sehra purchased a lottery ticket from a Bathinda shop with borrowed money from his friend. He subsequently won the grand prize in the Punjab State Lottery's "Diwali Bumper 2025" draw.

With emotion overwhelming him, Sehra revealed that he lacked sufficient funds even to travel to Chandigarh for completing the necessary formalities to claim his lottery winnings.

"This is truly divine providence, blessing me with unexpected abundance," said Sehra, a cart vegetable seller from Kotputli in Jaipur.

He expressed that the windfall would fund his two young children's education. The grateful vendor also committed to sharing Rs 1 crore with his friend Mukesh, who had lent him money to purchase the winning ticket.

The Punjab state lottery results were officially declared on October 31.
