Bihar is scheduled to hold elections in two phases on November 6 and November 11.
In Darbhanga, Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a stern warning to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists on Thursday, advising them to cease attacks on India. Shah emphasized that if such attacks continue, "goli ka jawab goley se diya jayega" (bullets will be answered with cannons).
Shah revealed that explosives manufactured in Bihar's proposed defence corridor would be utilized against these terrorists.
"Terrorists from Pakistan attacked our citizens in Pahalgam, removing sindoor from the foreheads of our mothers and sisters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded within 20 days through Operation Sindoor, with the Indian Army neutralizing terrorists on Pakistani soil," Shah declared during a campaign rally in Bihar.
He further stated, "The PM is establishing a Defence Corridor in Bihar. Should Pakistan-sponsored terrorists repeat their actions, 'goli ka jawab goley se diya jaega' (bullets will be answered with cannons)." Shah added that these cannons would be 'made-in-Bihar'.
"Unlike previous Congress administrations, Modi's government is fully committed to national security," he claimed.
Shah launched a scathing critique of RJD leader Lalu Prasad and his son Tejashwi Yadav for allegedly "praising gangster-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin, who terrorized Siwan during RJD's 15-year governance in Bihar."
"Lalu and his party chant slogans like 'Shahabuddin amar rahe' and dream of reinstating 'jungle raj,' but Bihar's citizens will not permit this," he asserted.
Addressing consecutive rallies in Darbhanga, Motihari, and Bettiah, Shah urged voters to select the BJP's 'lotus' symbol to prevent the return of what he termed 'jungle raj' during RJD rule, which he claimed had "devastated" the state.
He promised that an NDA government would invest Rs 26,000 crore to harness the Koshi river for irrigation and flood prevention.
"Press the 'lotus' button to prevent the return of 'jungle raj' that devastated Bihar during Lalu-Rabri's 15-year administration. Murders, looting, kidnappings, and extortion will become commonplace again if voters make a mistake on November 6," the Union Minister alleged.
Shah asserted that only the NDA under Prime Minister Modi's leadership could ensure Bihar's comprehensive development.
"A total of Rs 26,000 crore will be allocated to harness the Koshi river water for irrigating 'Mithilanchal' and preventing floods if the NDA wins in Bihar. Water from the Ganga, Koshi, and Gandak rivers will be utilized for irrigation and flood prevention," the former BJP president stated.
He promised that if the NDA retains power, residents of Mithila, Koshi, and Tirhut would receive quality medical care at AIIMS-Darbhanga, eliminating the need to travel to Patna or Delhi for treatment.
Shah noted, "3.60 crore people have received free health insurance coverage up to Rs 5 lakh, while the IT park in Darbhanga will provide employment opportunities for youth." He criticized the RJD for complaining to the Election Commission about the Rs 10,000 benefit for 'Jeevika Didis,' claiming that "three generations of Lalu's family cannot take away the funds transferred" to these self-help groups.
Reiterating accusations that RJD-Congress insulted 'Chhathi Maiya,' the Prime Minister, and his mother, Shah predicted that Bihar's voters would "respond to these insults by rejecting such political parties" in the upcoming elections.
"Bihar's people never forgive those who disrespect 'Chhathi Maiya.' The RJD-Congress will face complete defeat in the Bihar elections," Shah claimed.
If the NDA maintains power in Bihar, he promised that each district would receive one engineering college and one medical college within the next 5 years.
Emphasizing that genuine development occurred only under Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi's leadership, Shah said, "423 companies have signed agreements for Rs 1.80 lakh crore investment in Bihar during the business summit. A new airport at Raxaul has been approved, and an auditorium will be constructed in Motihari." He added that Champaran's connection to Goddess Sita and Lord Ram would be leveraged to boost religious tourism.
Speaking from Mahatma Gandhi's 'karma bhoomi' of Champaran, Shah announced that Naxalism would be eliminated from India by March 31, 2026.
