Dangerous Scooter Stunt in Thane Leads to Police Intervention and Public Safety Message

A shocking incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Thane when a scooter rider was caught on camera attempting a dangerous stunt by kicking another motorcyclist while in motion. The reckless rider nearly tumbled off his own vehicle during this hazardous act.

Police officers who happened to be patrolling the area witnessed this real-life version of the video game 'Road Rash' and immediately intervened to apprehend the offender. Following his detention, authorities made the man issue a public apology on video.

The footage of the incident shows several motorcycles and scooters traveling through a Thane suburb. During this, a solo scooter rider can be seen standing on his vehicle while attempting to kick two individuals on another two-wheeler nearby.

After narrowly avoiding a fall during his first attempt, the man persisted with his dangerous behavior, making a second attempt with one leg extended toward another scooter rider.

Unbeknownst to him, local police were monitoring the situation from just behind. The officers quickly intercepted the reckless rider and escorted him to the police station.

At the station, authorities instructed the offender to acknowledge his dangerous behavior and deliver a cautionary message to the public. In the recorded apology, the man identifies himself with folded hands, admits to performing the dangerous stunt, and urges others to drive responsibly at moderate speeds, warning about potential police action against such behavior.

In a separate but related incident from October, Thane witnessed a fatal accident where a woman named Swati lost her life when an unidentified vehicle struck the motorcycle on which she was riding as a passenger. She sustained fatal head injuries after falling beneath the wheels of the offending vehicle and died at the scene. The motorcycle driver suffered a hand fracture and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
