United Kingdom:
British Transport Police announced on Monday that a man has been charged with 10 counts of attempted murder following a mass stabbing incident on a London-bound train.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Anthony Williams from Peterborough in central England, also faces charges of actual bodily harm and possession of a knife in relation to Saturday evening's incident.
Additionally, Williams was charged with another count of attempted murder and knife possession stemming from a separate incident in London that occurred on the same day, according to the official statement.
Tracy Easton from the Crown Prosecution Service stated that the investigation involved processing a "huge volume of evidence, including CCTV footage."
"We understand the devastating impact that Saturday's train incident has had and how it shocked the entire nation. Our thoughts remain with all those affected," she expressed.
Williams is scheduled to appear in a Peterborough court later.
Of the ten people initially taken to hospital, four were discharged shortly after receiving treatment.
One victim, a railway staff member who attempted to intervene and stop the attacker, remains in a life-threatening condition.
