Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a significant roadshow in Patna on Sunday evening, appealing to Bihar residents for their support of the NDA in the upcoming assembly elections.
PM Modi, joined by Union minister and JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lalan', state BJP president Dilip Jaiswal, and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, commenced the roadshow from Dinkar Golambar, the memorial dedicated to national poet Ramdhari Sinh Dinkar.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the crowds lining both sides of the street and watching from buildings as his vehicle traveled along city roads decorated with flowers and saffron flags.
"I got an opportunity to participate in a grand roadshow in Patna. I urged the enthusiastic people here, the people of Bihar, to shower their full blessings on the NDA in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections," PM Modi shared on X.
"Our track record in office shows that only the NDA can further strengthen the path of development here," he added.
Large crowds gathered to see PM Modi during his campaign visit for the assembly elections.
Many women were present, attempting to capture photos and videos of the PM, showering flower petals on his vehicle, and performing 'arti'.
The BJP organized performances of traditional folk dances, including 'Sama Chakeva', on platforms established along the approximately 3-km route.
The roadshow concluded at Udyog Bhavan near Gandhi Maidan, after passing through Nala Road, Thakurwadi, and Bakarganj.
PM Modi had previously conducted a similar roadshow in Patna during last year's Lok Sabha polls, and another following 'Operation Sindoor' earlier this year.
Patna will participate in the first phase of assembly elections on November 6.
In multiple posts on X, PM Modi highlighted development projects implemented by the NDA government in Patna and throughout Bihar.
"During the UPA rule at the Centre and the RJD misrule in Bihar, even the thought of developing a Metro in Patna was unimaginable. At that time, there was neither any vision nor any will to act," he stated.
The prime minister noted that the NDA operates differently, with Patna's Metro rail network expanding rapidly.
He encouraged Bihar residents to support the NDA to ensure comprehensive development of Patna and the entire state.
"In the days to come, Patna will be an example of all round development. This is PM Modi's guarantee," PM Modi declared.
"The RJD and the Congress are not bothered about the development of Patna. They treat urban areas as their ATMs to fill their pockets. Their record of law and order and hooliganism too is before everyone," he concluded.
