Drunk Teacher Arrested After Dragging Motorcycle for Over a Kilometer in Gujarat Hit-and-Run Incident

In a shocking incident in Gujarat, two individuals were injured when their motorcycle was hit and dragged for more than a kilometer by a car driven by an intoxicated teacher. The accident occurred on National Highway 48, resulting in the arrest of the teacher and his brother who were both found drunk. The victims are currently receiving treatment at local hospitals while authorities investigate the case.

Two individuals suffered injuries when their motorcycle was struck and dragged for over a kilometer by a vehicle operated by an intoxicated teacher, in a disturbing hit-and-run incident in Gujarat recently.

The accident occurred on Modasa Lunawada Road along National Highway 48, as both vehicles were traversing through Mahisagar district.

Both the teacher and his brother, who was also intoxicated and present in the car during the accident, have been apprehended. Law enforcement has confiscated alcohol bottles discovered inside the vehicle along with the car itself.

A viral 33-second video depicts the car dragging the motorcycle which appears to be lodged in front of it. Eventually, one rider falls and their hand seems to go beneath the wheels.

Authorities identified the driver as Manish Patel and his brother as Mehul Patel. The victims were identified as 50-year-old Dineshbhai and 21-year-old Sunil.

"Police have filed charges against both accused individuals. They have also summoned the Forensics Science Laboratory team. An investigation is currently in progress," stated Mahisagar Deputy Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Vasava.

Efforts are also underway to revoke the teacher's driving license, he added.

The injured parties are currently receiving medical treatment at Lunawada Civil Hospital and Godhra Civil Hospital.
