West Bengal Chief Minister Pens Lyrics for Kolkata Durga Puja Committee's Theme Song

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal has composed the lyrics for the theme song of a prominent Durga Puja committee in Kolkata, which was performed by a minister from her cabinet.
The Tala Prattoy Durga Puja committee, located in north Kolkata, expressed their pride in celebrating their 100th anniversary with the Chief Minister contributing as the lyricist for their special centenary theme song.
This year, the committee has chosen 'Bij Angan' (seeds in the courtyard) as their theme.
"As we mark a century of Tala Prattoy, 'Bij Angan' celebrates the timeless tradition of Durga Puja and Bengal's cultural heritage. We feel privileged that the honourable chief minister crafted this meaningful song for our centenary celebration, which was wonderfully performed by Indranil Sen," said Dhrubajyoti Bose Suvo, representing the organizing committee.
Tourism and Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Indranil Sen unveiled the music video for the theme song on Wednesday.
According to Suvo, the theme represents how seeds of life symbolize nature and the mother goddess, which will be artistically portrayed through the Puja pandal's interior design, installations, and the idol placed in the courtyard.
This is not the first time for the Chief Minister, who regularly writes theme songs for various Durga Puja committees across the city each year.
The Tala Prattoy Durga Puja has received numerous accolades for their celebrations in previous years.
