Nasir Khan was released from prison in 2020 after serving part of his sentence.

A woman has reported being sexually harassed and attacked with glass bottles by multiple men at an upscale hotel in Kolkata, according to police reports.

The incident occurred at the Play Boy club inside Hyatt Regency in Bidhannagar around 4:15am on Sunday. The victim was socializing with her husband and friends when the assault took place.

Police have identified Nasir Khan, previously convicted in the notorious 2012 Park Street gang rape case, as one of two individuals charged in the incident. His nephew, Junaid Khan, is the second accused. No suspects have been apprehended yet.

In her formal complaint, the woman stated that she and her companions were at the club when the accused individuals initiated a confrontation. While the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, she alleges that Nasir, Junaid, and their associates attempted to assault her and inappropriately touch her.

"When my brother attempted to defend me, they began throwing glass bottles at us. As we tried to escape the hotel to safety, Junaid Khan summoned approximately 20 individuals who started attacking us," she detailed in her complaint obtained by NDTV.

"I called the emergency number 100 for immediate assistance, but they blocked all exits. Several men began pushing me and inappropriately touching my private areas. I've included the medical report, and footage of the attack can be found on the restaurant club's CCTV," she further stated.

The woman also reported receiving death threats from the accused via telephone.

Authorities have registered a case at Bidhannagar South Police Station against the two named suspects on charges of voluntarily causing hurt, criminal force and assault, and solitary confinement under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.

Nasir was among five men convicted of gang-raping a 40-year-old mother of two teenage daughters inside a moving vehicle in the affluent Park Street area in 2013.

The survivor of that earlier crime was abducted in a car outside a nightclub on Park Street in central Kolkata in February 2012. She was gang-raped inside the moving vehicle before being abandoned near a road intersection approximately two kilometers from where she was initially taken.

Nasir was released from incarceration in 2020, more than a year before completing his 10-year sentence, due to "good behavior."
