Notorious Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Member Jagdeep Singh "Jagga" Arrested in US; India Seeks Extradition

Rajasthan Police has confirmed they are currently working on procedures to extradite him back to India.

Rajasthan's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has achieved a significant development with the confirmation of gangster Jagdeep Singh, also known as Jagga, being apprehended in the United States. Jagga, an active operative in the Lawrence Bishnoi criminal network who also maintained strong connections with the Rohit Godara gang, had evaded authorities for several years.

Rajasthan Police officials have stated that extradition procedures are currently being initiated to return him to India.

AGTF sources reveal that the agency has been conducting an intensive operation targeting members of the Bishnoi syndicate who escaped from India while continuing to orchestrate criminal activities from foreign locations.

Jagdeep Singh faced more than ten serious criminal charges across Punjab and Rajasthan, including murder, attempted murder, and extortion operations. Multiple courts had officially declared him a proclaimed offender. In Rajasthan specifically, cases were registered against him at Jodhpur's Pratap Nagar and Sardarpura police stations, with arrest warrants having been issued previously.

According to law enforcement sources, Jagga had been directing operations from Dubai and the United States, coordinating financial resources and logistical support for the Bishnoi-Godara criminal network. The AGTF investigation team had been monitoring his movements through consistent surveillance methods and technical intelligence gathering.

Jagga's criminal history includes involvement in the 2017 shooting incident targeting Dr. Sunil Chachda in Pratap Nagar and participation in Vasudev Israni's murder in Jodhpur's Sardarpura neighborhood. After obtaining bail, he reportedly fled India using his passport, initially escaping to Dubai before illegally entering the United States approximately three years ago.

Following intelligence provided by the AGTF, U.S. Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained Jagga. He currently remains in American custody while legal deportation proceedings continue. Upon his return to India, Jagga and his associates will face comprehensive investigation and strict legal consequences for their organized criminal activities.
