Karnataka Man Kills Friend Over Unpaid Rs 2,000 Debt in Tragic Sickle Attack

A 30-year-old man in Karnataka was fatally attacked with a sickle by his friend Dayanand Gundloor over an unpaid debt of Rs 2,000. The confrontation escalated from a verbal dispute to deadly violence when the victim, Manjunath Gowdar, failed to repay the borrowed money within the promised timeframe. The assailant surrendered to police immediately after the incident, confessing to the crime.

A tragic incident occurred in Karnataka on Sunday night when a 30-year-old individual lost his life after being assaulted with a sickle by his acquaintance over an unpaid debt of Rs 2,000.

Manjunath Gowdar, the deceased, had reportedly borrowed Rs 2,000 from his friend Dayanand Gundloor earlier in the week, with a promise to return the amount within seven days. When Manjunath failed to fulfill this commitment, Dayanand confronted him on Sunday evening, which resulted in a heated verbal dispute.

The disagreement escalated dramatically when Dayanand, overcome with anger, attacked Manjunath with a sickle, causing severe injuries. Unfortunately, Manjunath succumbed to his wounds while being transported to a medical facility.

Following the incident, the assailant surrendered himself to local authorities and provided a full confession regarding the violent act.

Law enforcement officials have subsequently filed a murder case against the accused, according to police statements.
