54 Haryana Men Deported from US for Illegal Entry Through "Donkey Route": Investigation Underway

The US has deported 54 men from Haryana, India who illegally entered the country via the "Donkey Route." Most deportees are aged 25-40, coming from districts like Karnal and Kaithal. This deportation aligns with the Trump administration's stricter stance on illegal immigration. Meanwhile, authorities have also arrested Lakhwinder Singh, a Lawrence Bishnoi gang associate who had been operating from the US since 2022.

US Deports 54 Haryana Men, Police Probe 'Donkey Route' Trail

The United States has deported 54 young men from Haryana, India, who allegedly entered the country through the illegal "Donkey Route." These individuals arrived at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal-3 on Flight OAE-4767, according to police statements released Sunday.

Data shows that the majority of those deported are between 25 and 40 years old. The distribution by district reveals that 16 are from Karnal, 15 from Kaithal, 5 from Ambala, 4 each from Yamuna Nagar and Kurukshetra, 3 from Jind, 2 from Sonipat, and single individuals from Panchkula, Panipat, Rohtak, and Fatehabad.

Karnal police have returned these individuals to their families. Authorities report that no complaints against immigration agents have been filed. This deportation appears to be part of the Trump administration's intensified efforts to address illegal immigration.

Karnal DSP Sandeep Kumar confirmed that these individuals had entered the US via the illegal "Donkey Route." He stated, "Today, more Indians were deported from the United States, including 50 from Haryana, with approximately 16 from Karnal district. These individuals, from various villages and towns, had entered the US illegally but were deported today."

The police strongly advised against attempting to enter foreign countries through illegal means, emphasizing that such methods eventually lead to serious consequences. An investigation is currently underway, with authorities noting that any criminal records will be identified during the process.

This deportation is not isolated, as hundreds of people have been sent back to India by US authorities earlier this year. Since President Donald Trump took office in January, American law enforcement agencies have intensified their crackdown on illegal immigrants.

In a separate but related development, the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana has arrested Lakhwinder Singh, alias Lakha, a close associate of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. A resident of Titram village in Kaithal district, Lakhwinder was deported from the United States and subsequently arrested by the STF Ambala Unit after completing legal formalities.

According to an official release, Lakhwinder Singh had been operating from the USA since 2022 under the direction of Anmol Bishnoi. He was actively involved in approximately twelve cases of extortion and firing incidents across Haryana and Punjab.

Lakhwinder has an extensive criminal record in Haryana, with cases registered in Sonipat, Rohtak, Yamuna Nagar, Kaithal, and Ambala. Authorities had issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) in 2023 and a Red Corner Notice (RCN) in 2024 against him. His deportation from the USA was accomplished after nearly a year of coordination between national and international agencies.
