Sunil Sardhania: Mastermind of Rahul Fazilpuria Attack Being Deported from Switzerland to India

According to officials, Sardhania is facing numerous criminal charges.

Sunil Sardhania, identified as the mastermind behind the attack on singer-rapper Rahul Fazilpuria, is currently being deported to India from Zurich, Switzerland. Sources indicate that Sardhania was initially traced to Jerusalem before being located with Interpol's assistance.

Following his detention in Zurich, the deportation process to bring him back to India has been completed, according to sources.

Officials have stated that upon Sardhania's arrival in India, police will take him into custody and transport him to Gurugram for interrogation.

On the night of July 14, two shots were fired at Fazilpuria's vehicle on the Badshahpur Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) in Gurugram. The attack occurred while he was driving through a village in Sector 71. Reports indicate that one bullet struck a divider pole, as evidenced by visible bullet marks. Despite the two shots fired at him, Fazilpuria escaped without any injuries.

Following the incident, Sardhania, reportedly a close friend of Fazilpuria, claimed responsibility for the attack via social media. He implicated Deepak Nandal, a music producer, and Indrajit Yadav, an alleged member of the Himanshu Bhau gang, as participants. Sardhania alleged that Fazilpuria had borrowed Rs 5 crore from Nandal and was refusing to return it. He threatened to kill one of Fazilpuria's associates monthly for ten months if the debt remained unpaid.

The Haryanvi singer initially dismissed the social media post as "fake."

Officials report that Sardhania faces multiple charges, including the murder of Rohit Shaukeen, a property dealer and close associate of Fazilpuria. This incident occurred in August when Shaukeen was in Gurugram for business. He was standing outside his vehicle near the Ullahwas market in Sector 77 when attackers, disguised as food delivery personnel, fired more than twelve rounds at him, killing him instantly.

Sardhania subsequently claimed responsibility for this crime on social media as well.

Investigations revealed that Shaukeen's murder was connected to gang conflicts and financial transactions involving crores of rupees. His friend, Deepak Nandal – also named in the Fazilpuria attack – emerged as a primary suspect.
