Man Stabbed To Death By Employer, Friends After Argument Over No Diwali Gift

A tragic incident occurred in Maharashtra where 27-year-old Nitesh Thackeray was fatally stabbed by his employer and associates following a dispute over not receiving a Diwali gift.

Thackeray had been employed at a betel leaf shop owned by 25-year-old Sujit Ganvir in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. During the Diwali festival, Thackeray anticipated receiving new clothes or a gift from his employer as is customary during the celebration.

When no gift was forthcoming, an agitated Thackeray contacted Ganvir by phone and verbally berated him. This confrontation enraged Ganvir, who subsequently gathered his friends and devised a plot to kill Thackeray.

To execute this plan, Ganvir reportedly purchased a knife online and invited Thackeray to what was presented as a casual movie outing. Instead, Ganvir led Thackeray to an isolated location behind a law college in the city where, alongside five accomplices, he physically assaulted Thackeray before stabbing him to death.

The perpetrators attempted to eliminate evidence of their crime.

Law enforcement officials swiftly apprehended all six suspects within an hour of the crime: Karan Meshram (22), Yash Chhotelal Raut (19), Anil Rameshwar Bonde (22), Pratik Manik Meshram (22), Tausif Sheikh (23), and Sujit Ganvir (25).

Police have confirmed that investigations into this homicide are continuing.
