Three intoxicated individuals physically assaulted a taxi driver in the vicinity of Mumbai before stealing his vehicle.

The assault occurred at approximately 4:30 am in Kalyan, located roughly 50 kilometers from Mumbai. The driver arrived at the location to collect a passenger who had requested transportation when the perpetrators launched their attack. Following the assault, they damaged the vehicle before taking it.

Authorities successfully located both the stolen vehicle and the three suspects - identified as Vijay Bhise, Amardeep Gupta, and Avinash Jha - by utilizing the GPS tracking system installed in the taxi. The men were promptly taken into custody.

Law enforcement officials believe the criminal activity was conducted while the perpetrators were under the influence of alcohol.
