IShowSpeed Encounters Vijay Fans Shouting TVK During Thailand Visit: Cultural Collision Caught on Livestream

Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed found himself in a confusing encounter during his recent Thailand trip when fans of South Indian superstar Thalapathy Vijay approached him enthusiastically.

IShowSpeed, known for his eccentric livestreaming persona, regularly attracts crowds of fans wherever he travels. During a recent visit to Thailand, the American content creator experienced an unusual interaction with two devoted fans of Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay.

While livestreaming from his vehicle on the streets of a Thai city, Speed—wearing a Manchester United jersey—was approached by two young men on a motorcycle who were excitedly shouting "TVK, TVK."

Darren Watkins Jr. (IShowSpeed's real name) appeared completely confused by the encounter, turning to someone in his entourage and asking, "What's they saying?" As the fans moved closer to his vehicle, they continued shouting "Thalapathy Vijay, Thalapathy Vijay," which only increased the YouTuber's bewilderment, prompting him to respond, "What the f**k they saying."

Attempting to understand the situation, Speed was eventually told the fans were referencing the "Chief Minister of India."

The enthusiastic Vijay supporters returned shortly after with an invitation for Speed to join them for a motorcycle ride, promising "It's going to be so much fun." Speed politely declined their offer, saying, "No, thank you. I am good brother, I am good brother."

Prior to his Thailand visit, Speed had been in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, attending the Joy Forum. A viral social media video captured him interacting with other celebrities, including Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal.

In this brief clip, Speed, O'Neal, and MrBeast (currently the most-followed YouTuber globally) discussed potentially racing against each other. When Speed asked O'Neal when he last ran at full speed, the basketball icon replied: "Thirty years ago."

The Joy Forum, described as a "new age of entertainment," was held on October 16-17. The event aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a global center for creative excellence and cross-cultural collaboration while nurturing future entertainment industry leaders.
