Four People Including Mother and Daughter Killed in Railway Crossing Accident in Bihar's Begusarai

Begusarai, Bihar:

A tragic accident occurred in Bihar's Begusarai district when four individuals, including a mother and her daughter, were fatally struck by a train while attempting to cross the railway tracks late Wednesday night, as reported by an official.

Sintu Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sahebpur Kamal police station, confirmed that the incident happened on the Barauni-Katihar railway section.

The victims, all residents of Rahua village, were returning home after attending a local fair in a neighboring area when they tried to cross the tracks during the passage of the Amrapali Express, the SHO stated.

Police have identified the deceased as 40-year-old Rita Devi, her 14-year-old daughter Roshni Kumari, 7-year-old Arohi Kumari, and her 35-year-old uncle Dharm Dev Mahto.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the authorities have notified their family members about the tragedy.
