16-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Murders Mother with Axe in Haryana's Kurukshetra: Police Launch Manhunt

Police have initiated a comprehensive investigation and search operation to locate and apprehend the minor suspect in this tragic case.

Kurukshetra authorities reported that a 16-year-old boy has allegedly committed matricide by attacking his mother with an axe in the Ladwa area of the district.

Ladwa Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Randhir Singh identified the victim as 45-year-old Mukesh Rani from Dudha village. The woman had been living separately from her husband following their divorce proceedings.

According to police reports, the incident occurred Tuesday night when the minor son allegedly attacked his mother at her residence, causing severe trauma to her head. Emergency responders transported Mukesh Rani to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain Hospital in Kurukshetra, where medical staff pronounced her deceased during treatment.

DSP Singh stated that the juvenile suspect, who had been residing with his father prior to the incident, has disappeared from the area following the attack.

Investigators are still working to determine the motivation behind this violent assault. Officials noted that the couple's elder son currently lives abroad.

Law enforcement has registered a formal case and deployed multiple teams to locate the minor accused of this crime.

The brutal incident has caused significant distress throughout the village community, with residents expressing shock over the violent nature of the attack.
