Gurugram:
A tragic accident claimed the life of a six-year-old girl who was fatally crushed beneath a wardrobe in her home in Sohna, police reported on Wednesday.
Police officials stated that the incident took place on Monday evening when the child was playing and swinging on the wardrobe door. The furniture toppled over, falling onto her and causing severe internal injuries. Despite being rushed to a hospital immediately after the accident, medical staff were unable to save her life.
The victim has been identified as Deepasnshi, a resident of Pahar colony who lived with her family. She was transported to a private medical facility in Gurugram where doctors pronounced her deceased upon arrival.
"Following the postmortem examination, we released the body to the family members, and the investigation into the incident is continuing," a senior police officer stated.
