Tragic Murder-Suicide in Jaipur: Couple Found Dead After History of Marital Discord

In a tragic incident in Jaipur, police discovered a couple deceased in their residence located in the Jamdoli area. Authorities believe this may be a case of murder-suicide stemming from ongoing marital problems, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as 51-year-old Daudayal and his 46-year-old wife Babita. Prahlad Narayan, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Jamdoli, reported that when police arrived at the scene Tuesday night after receiving an alert from the control room, they found the woman lying on the floor while her husband was hanging from a ceiling fan.

The couple's son made the grim discovery upon returning home from Govind Dev temple. He informed police that his parents regularly engaged in heated arguments and had developed mutual suspicions regarding each other's fidelity.

"Based on initial evidence, we believe the husband strangled his wife before taking his own life by hanging," SHO Narayan stated. A team of police officers and forensic specialists collected samples from the crime scene to support the ongoing investigation.

The bodies have been transported to SMS Hospital for post-mortem examination to be conducted by a medical board. Police have registered a case based on the statement provided by the couple's son.
