Footage reveals multiple individuals engaging in violent confrontation with police officers in the street.
New Delhi:
Multiple Delhi Police officers sustained injuries following an attack by a group of individuals during an arrest attempt in the Fatehpur Beri region on Tuesday.
Officials reported that a police contingent had arrived at Chandan Hola village to apprehend a suspect named Azam, who was subject to a non-bailable warrant.
When the officers attempted to take him into custody, Azam and several family members allegedly resisted and violently attacked the police team. The confrontation resulted in numerous officers being injured, who subsequently received medical attention at the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
Video evidence of the incident shows several men physically confronting police officers on the street. One attacker is captured fleeing from law enforcement personnel.
According to police statements, a formal case has been registered against Azam and others involved in the assault, based on testimonies from the injured officers. Authorities have initiated a search operation to locate and apprehend the suspects.
