Mother Takes Justice Into Her Own Hands: Uttarkashi Woman Beats Man For Allegedly Harassing Her Daughter

An online video has emerged showing a woman in Uttarkashi physically confronting a man with her footwear. The incident, which reportedly occurred in Matli Bandarkot, has garnered significant public attention across social media platforms.

Reports indicate that the confrontation was triggered after the man allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior toward the woman's daughter. The footage clearly captures the woman repeatedly striking the young man with her slipper while several bystanders observe the altercation.

According to local sources, the man is employed at a tire repair shop in the area. Although the incident occurred several days ago, the video has only recently gone viral online.

Since the public confrontation, the young man has reportedly fled the area. Sachendra Parmar, representing a Hindu organization, stated: "The young man has been absconding since the incident occurred, and his current location remains unknown. We are urging authorities to take appropriate action and ensure he is apprehended."

Parmar further mentioned that numerous videos from Uttarkashi have recently gained traction online, including content related to "love jihad" and a previous incident where a man allegedly recorded inappropriate footage of a woman.

A comparable incident occurred in September 2024 in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman physically disciplined a man accused of distributing manipulated obscene images of her daughter to potential suitors. The accused had allegedly edited the daughter's photographs into inappropriate images and circulated them, reportedly damaging her marriage prospects.

Initially, the local panchayat attempted to resolve the matter peacefully, considering pardoning the man to protect his future. However, the mother insisted on administering punishment herself, declaring she would not forgive him until she had struck him with her slippers. After a panchayat member approved this condition, the man received the punishment.

Following this incident, community members decided against involving law enforcement. Police officials later stated they had not been previously informed about the case but would investigate if necessary.
