First Batch of BrahMos Missiles Manufactured at Lucknow Facility Flagged Off by Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly presided over the ceremony marking the release of the inaugural batch of BrahMos missiles from the BrahMos Aerospace facility in Lucknow on Saturday, as confirmed by official sources.

The official statement highlighted that this achievement represents not only a significant milestone for the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) but also provides fresh momentum to India's ambitions for self-sufficiency in defense manufacturing capabilities.

BrahMos Aerospace, the entity responsible for producing the renowned BrahMos supersonic missile system, has completed production of its first missile batch at the newly established integration and testing facility located in Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow, according to the statement.

The cutting-edge production unit, which was formally inaugurated on May 11, 2025, encompasses comprehensive modern facilities dedicated to missile integration, testing protocols, and final quality assurance measures. Following successful completion of rigorous testing procedures, these missile systems are prepared for operational deployment by India's armed forces.

The ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries including Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, along with various governmental officials and representatives.
