West Champaran To Kosi Heartland, How Top BJP Leaders Will Cover Bihar

BJP has announced a roster of 40 star campaigners for Bihar assembly elections

Patna:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated one of its most aggressive campaign strategies for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, deploying senior national leaders throughout the state.

Under "Mission Bihar," the NDA's high-energy campaign aims to strengthen support and address anti-incumbency by extensively covering critical regions – spanning from West Champaran near the border to the politically significant Kosi heartland.

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and BJP's chief strategist, is spearheading the effort with plans for more than 35 rallies across Bihar. According to party insiders, the strategy focuses on reinforcing NDA unity at grassroots levels while countering anti-incumbency sentiment in constituencies BJP secured in 2020.

Shah's campaign begins October 17, following his arrival in Patna on October 16 for a three-day visit. He will address rallies in numerous locations including Korha, Darbhanga, Keoti, Gopalganj, Paroo (Muzaffarpur), Bettiah, Motihari, and Katihar. In addition to public appearances, Shah will conduct closed-door meetings with state leaders to finalize the alliance's election strategy after candidate announcements.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, one of BJP's most popular campaigners, will lead rallies in over two dozen constituencies. His campaign will concentrate on North and Central Bihar regions, where the party believes his presence significantly enhances voter mobilization.

Recognizing the cultural and linguistic connections between North Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath's schedule covers:

Mithilanchal: Dhaka, Riga, Khajauli, Bisfi, Darbhanga, and Jale

Seemanchal: Farbisganj, Purnia, Katihar, and Pranpur

Western Belt: Chanpatia, Govindganj, and Gopalganj

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake a cross-regional campaign, covering Saran, Mithilanchal, Seemanchal, and the Central-Western plains. His itinerary includes politically important stops at Hajipur and Buxar, besides Chiraiya, Bathnaha, Goreakothi, Chapra, Rajnagar, Katihar, and Banka.

Health Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda will focus on cadre mobilization with selected appearances in Ramnagar (Bagaha), Jale (Darbhanga), and Lauriya.

According to BJP sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign schedule is being finalized with emphasis on regions where the NDA's influence is relatively weaker but where the Prime Minister's personal appeal remains strong.

Each of PM Modi's rallies and roadshows will be designed to cover 15 to 20 assembly segments, with live telecasts planned to ensure maximum reach across rural areas.
