Hospital Employee Suspended After Threatening Medical Officer with Gun in Madhya Pradesh

A hospital dresser in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district has been suspended after pointing a gun at a Block Medical Officer, allegedly over salary grievances. The incident, captured on video, shows Manish Najgarh confronting the officer with a firearm. Officials deny claims of unpaid wages, stating his salary has been released through September 2025. Police have initiated legal proceedings against Najgarh, who reportedly has a history of inappropriate workplace behavior.

The employee has been suspended and police have also initiated proceedings against him.

Furious about allegedly not receiving his salary, a hospital employee approached a medical officer in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district and aimed a gun at him. The incident was captured on video which has spread across social media, causing alarm and distress among hospital personnel and patients.

The individual, identified as Manish Najgarh, is employed as a dresser (a person who treats wounds, cleans sores and prepares patients for surgery) at a hospital in Kolaras tehsil. In the video that went viral, an enraged Najgarh can be seen walking toward the Block Medical Officer (BMO), extracting a firearm and directing it at his head. The shocked staff and witnesses can be heard gasping in the background.

Najgarh allegedly took this drastic action because he was furious about not receiving his salary for 12 consecutive months and held the BMO responsible for the delay.

According to sources, this isn't Najgarh's first controversial incident. He has previously gained notoriety for his unstable behavior, including instances where he consumed alcohol while working.

Najgarh has been suspended and law enforcement has begun legal proceedings against him. "Pointing a weapon at a senior officer is completely unacceptable and dangerous," stated an official from the district health office. "The hospital employee has been suspended and strict disciplinary and criminal action will follow."

District Chief Health Officer Sanjay Risheshwar rejected Najgarh's claims about not receiving his salary, describing them as "baseless and false." "His salary has been paid punctually through September 2025. The accusations are unfounded. We responded immediately to the incident, and he has been suspended without delay," he confirmed.
