PM Modi Performs Sacred Rudrabhishekam at Andhra Pradesh's Historic Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh, where he offered prayers on Thursday.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi participated in the sacred Rudrabhishekam ceremony, which involved the use of Panchamuralu, a holy mixture comprising five essential ingredients: cow milk, cow curd, cow ghee, honey, and sugar, according to BJP sources.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan during this spiritual engagement.

The Mallikarjuna Swamy temple holds significant religious importance as it represents one of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas and one of the 52 sacred Shakti Peeths in India.

What makes this temple particularly distinctive is its unique status as the only shrine in the country where both a Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peeth coexist within the same sacred premises.

Following his temple darshan, PM Modi visited Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, a memorial complex featuring a meditation hall adorned with models of four historic forts—Pratapgad, Rajgad, Raigad, and Shivneri—positioned at the four corners, with a meditation statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji positioned centrally.

The meditation hall, managed by the Sree Shivaji Memorial Committee, was established in this temple town to commemorate Chhatrapati Shivaji's historic pilgrimage to this sacred shrine in 1677.

The Prime Minister's itinerary includes proceeding to Kurnool where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development projects across sectors including power, defence, railways, and petroleum.

Additionally, PM Modi is scheduled to address a public gathering titled 'Super GST - Super Savings' to elaborate on the advantages of the newly implemented GST reforms to the general public.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister received a warm welcome at Kurnool Airport by Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister Naidu, and other dignitaries.
