The incident occurred on Monday when a man was caught begging inside a Bengaluru metro train, leading to a viral video.
The 34-second footage shows the individual, attired in a black shirt and blue jeans, soliciting money from seated passengers while traveling in the last coach of a moving Namma Metro train.
According to reliable sources, this event happened on Monday as the train was journeying between Mantri Square Sampige Road and Srirampura stations.
The man initially boarded at Majestic metro station around 11:04 am. His solicitation continued until law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, after which he was compelled to exit the train at Dasarahalli metro station.
It should be noted that begging is strictly forbidden in both metro stations and trains under Section 59 of the Metro Railways (Operation and Maintenance) Act.
Previously, there have been numerous cases where the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited has imposed fines on individuals for creating disturbances that inconvenience fellow passengers.
