A Gangster Named In Cop's Suicide Note, And Rs 50 Crore Corruption Charge

The intricate case of dual police suicides in Haryana continues to unravel, revealing allegations of extensive corruption and caste-based discrimination. IPS officer Y Puran Kumar's detailed suicide note has triggered a cascade of revelations, followed by another officer's suicide and serious accusations involving police-gangster connections.

In a shocking development, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Lathar alleged in his suicide note that Kumar had entered into a Rs 50 crore agreement with gangster Rao Inderjit to exonerate him from a murder investigation.

The first incident occurred on October 7 when Y Puran Kumar fatally shot himself at his residence in Chandigarh. His eight-page suicide note leveled accusations against 10 senior and retired officers for "blatant caste-based discrimination, targeted mental harassment, public humiliation and atrocities."

Just one week later, Sandeep Lathar, who was investigating corruption allegations against Kumar, committed suicide with his service revolver in a Rohtak field. In his three-page note, Lathar claimed that Kumar was a "corrupt cop" who took his own life fearing imminent exposure.

Rao Inderjit, the gangster mentioned in Lathar's suicide note, is a notorious criminal with multiple cases against him in Haryana. He has reportedly fled to the United States to evade Indian law enforcement. His name has been connected to several recent high-profile incidents in Haryana.

Beyond his criminal activities, Inderjit owns the Gems Music label and is affiliated with the Himanshu Bhau gang. Authorities believe he orchestrated the murder of financier Manjeet in Rohtak and was involved in the shooting incident at controversial YouTuber Elvish Yadav's residence, as well as the attack on Haryanvi performer Rahul Yadav, known as Fazilpuria.
