Patna:
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav declared on Saturday that if the Mahagathbandhan alliance secures power in Bihar, his administration would immediately initiate the process for conducting the teachers' recruitment examination (TRE-4).
Yadav highlighted that during the RJD's partnership in the Nitish Kumar government, over 2 lakh teachers were successfully recruited through TRE-1 and TRE-2 examinations without any incidents of paper leaks.
"Following our departure from the coalition, the new administration announced plans in March for teacher recruitment of 1.27 lakh positions under TRE-4, but they have now unexpectedly reduced this number by 1 lakh posts. The Chief Minister's tendency to flip-flop and withdraw promises is well-documented. He often seems unaware of when, by whom, or how he was influenced to make certain statements or commitments," Yadav stated in his post on X.
"We guarantee that immediately upon forming our government, the TRE-4 recruitment process will be launched without delay," he firmly added.
The previous recruitment drives were substantial, with TRE-1 and TRE-2 resulting in the appointment of 2.40 lakh teachers, while TRE-3 filled 66,603 vacant positions.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is the authority responsible for conducting the recruitment process for school teacher appointments.
Previously, Yadav had made a significant campaign promise, stating that if the Mahagathbandhan alliance wins the upcoming assembly elections next month, his government would provide one government job to each household in Bihar that currently lacks government employment.
