Jaipur:

A tragic incident occurred on Friday when a man and two of his relatives lost their lives while transporting his mother's body from Jaipur to Haryana.

The fatal accident happened on the 152D flyover in Rohtak when their vehicle crashed into a stationary truck.

ASI Joginder Kaur, an ATS officer, had died in Jaipur on Thursday due to complications following a kidney transplant she had undergone approximately three to four years ago.

The heartbreaking event took place as her family members were traveling from Haryana to bring her remains back to Rohtak.

Police reports indicate that Kaur's relatives - her 24-year-old son Kirat, her 61-year-old sister Krishna, and a relative from Sonipat named Sachin - were traveling in a car behind the ambulance that was carrying her body.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., their vehicle collided with a parked truck on the 152D flyover. The impact was so powerful that the front section of the car was completely destroyed.

After being alerted by people passing by, police from Meham station in Rohtak arrived at the accident site and rescued the victims by cutting through the vehicle's windows.

All four occupants were immediately transported to the hospital. Medical staff declared Kirat, Krishna, and Sachin deceased, while a female passenger - the wife of ACB constable Dalbir - remains in critical condition receiving treatment at PGI Rohtak.

Police confirmed that the injured woman is married to Dalbir, a constable serving with the Jaipur Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Her son Sachin, who was among those killed, had recently begun working as a veterinary doctor in Pali.

The three deceased bodies have been placed in the Civil Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem examination, while authorities have seized both the damaged car and truck.

Initial investigation suggests that the driver of the car may have fallen asleep during their journey.

"The family was traveling through the night after retrieving the body from Jaipur. The car likely failed to detect the stationary truck and collided with it at high speed," officials reported.
