Fatal Accident in Maharajganj: 4-Year-Old Dies in Motorcycle-Pickup Collision, Two Family Members Critically Injured

A tragic road accident on the Paniyara-Partawal road in Maharajganj resulted in the death of 4-year-old Shamad when a speeding pickup truck collided with a motorcycle carrying three family members. The child's aunt Kamarjahan and 18-year-old brother Akram sustained critical injuries and were transferred to Gorakhpur Medical College for specialized treatment. Police have seized the vehicle involved as investigations continue.

On Thursday, a tragic accident occurred on the Paniyara-Partawal road when a four-year-old child lost his life, and his aunt and brother were injured after their motorcycle collided with a speeding pickup vehicle, according to police reports.

The deceased child has been identified as Shamad (4), who was traveling with his aunt Kamarjahan (30) and his 18-year-old brother Akram. They are residents of Bharampur village.

"The collision took place near Mahadeva Chowk as the family was returning home. A speeding pickup approaching from the opposite direction struck their motorcycle. All three individuals sustained serious injuries in the accident. They were immediately transported to the Community Health Center in Paratawal, where medical staff pronounced Shamad dead upon arrival," stated Station House Officer Ramanuj Yadav.

"Kamarjahan and Akram were in critical condition, so they received initial first aid before being transferred to Gorakhpur Medical College for specialized treatment," he further explained.

Authorities have impounded the pickup truck involved in the incident. The investigation into the accident continues.
