Deoria: Police confirmed on Sunday that a school manager has been arrested for allegedly raping an eighth-grade student. The suspect is now in custody.

The sexual assault occurred in the Sadar Kotwali police station area in Uttar Pradesh.

According to Circle Officer Sanjay Reddy, a resident from the Sadar Kotwali area filed a report claiming that his underage daughter, who attends eighth grade, had been sexually assaulted by her school's manager.

The accused had reportedly been subjecting the minor to sexual abuse over an extended period. After the victim finally disclosed the ordeal to her family members, her father promptly reported the matter to local authorities, Reddy explained.

Following the complaint, police registered a case against the school manager and subsequently apprehended him. Officials stated that the accused is currently undergoing interrogation.
