Shocking Murder in Meerut: Friend Films Execution as UP City Faces Rising Violence

In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a disturbing incident unfolded where a man was shot three times within 11 seconds by his friend while lying on the ground, stopping only when the person filming instructed him to "drop it."

The horrifying footage of this shooting was subsequently shared online, prompting serious concerns about public safety in Meerut, a city already shaken by the recent case of Muskaan Rastogi, who along with her lover murdered her husband and concealed his dismembered remains in a cement-filled drum.

The viral 11-second video captured the moment Adil received three successive shots to the chest from someone identified as his friend on Wednesday. In the background, a voice can be heard saying, "Drop it," after which the perpetrators fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Authorities later discovered Adil's body near a tubewell and confirmed it was the same individual shown being shot in the circulated footage. Law enforcement is still investigating whether Adil was unconscious before the shooting or if the recording began after he had already been killed.

According to police officials, this marks the first instance in Meerut where a murder was deliberately recorded and circulated online, seemingly to instill fear in the community. Adil's family has filed a case naming six individuals as accused.

Meerut SSP Dr. Vipin Tada stated, "We are probing the reasons behind the murder and why the accused chose to make the video viral." He further expressed concern that the intentional filming and distribution of such violence suggests organized criminal groups may be attempting to openly challenge law enforcement authorities.

Notably, two additional murders were reported in different areas of Meerut on the same day as this incident.
