Tej Pratap Yadav Urges Brother Tejashwi to Show Respect Like Lord Laxman Did to Ram

Former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav has called upon his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav to demonstrate the same respect towards him that Lord Laxman showed to Lord Rama.

In Patna, Tej Pratap Yadav, who was recently expelled from the RJD by his father Lalu Prasad, made these remarks following his establishment of a new political entity called Jan Shakti Janata Dal.

When questioned about Tejashwi's allegation that he had previously encouraged close associates to run as rebel candidates while still affiliated with the RJD, Tej Pratap responded sharply.

"As the younger sibling, he should conduct himself with proper respect (maryada) similar to how Laxman behaved towards Ram. He is being influenced by individuals comparable to Jaichand," stated the temperamental leader.

During his time with the RJD, Tej Pratap engaged in ongoing disputes with his younger brother's close allies, including Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, whom he has compared to Jaichand, a historical Hindu ruler from the early medieval period allegedly known for assisting Afghan invader Muhammad Ghori against rival Prithviraj Chouhan.

Tej Pratap confirmed his intention to compete in the forthcoming assembly elections from Mahua constituency, which neighbors Tejashwi's Raghopur seat and was where Tej Pratap made his political debut during the 2015 assembly elections.

Addressing a question regarding the RSS centenary celebrations, he commented, "The RSS had no involvement in the Independence movement. We follow Mahatma Gandhi's principles." He also expressed disapproval of the "I love Muhammad" controversy, stating, "I possess a copy of the Holy Quran. I deeply respect the Prophet. Those creating controversies are merely poisoning the atmosphere."
