Man Shot Dead While Mediating Dispute Between Groups in Rajasthan's Kota District

Kota:
A 29-year-old man was fatally shot while attempting to resolve a dispute between two groups in Ramgarh village, Kota district, according to police statements on Wednesday.
Authorities have filed murder charges against six individuals, with several already in custody, including the primary suspect. Police have confirmed multiple detainments related to the case.
The deceased has been identified as Shankar Charan (29), a resident of Ramgarh within the Mandana police station jurisdiction.
The tragic incident occurred Tuesday night when two groups returning from a religious ceremony at a temple began quarreling over previous grievances, as reported by Kota (Rural) SP Sujit Shankar.
While witnessing the confrontation, Shankar Charan attempted to mediate the situation when a member of one group discharged a country-made pistol at close range, striking the victim, the SP explained.
Shankar Charan was immediately transported to the New Medical College Hospital in Kota where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The SP further revealed that the main suspect, identified as Shyamlal Charan, was related to the victim.
Police have detained Shyamlal along with several others for interrogation, according to officials.
The additional accused individuals have been identified as Balram, Bhuriya, Bhanwarlal, Kishan, and Balu, all residents of Ramgarh village.
According to the SP, both Shyamlal and Balram were recently released from incarceration following an attempted murder case.
