Self-Proclaimed Godman Chaitanyananda Arrested: Sex Toys, Obscene CDs and Trafficking Allegations Emerge in Delhi Investigation

Among the discoveries were three fabricated photographs depicting Chaitanyananda with various world leaders.

The investigation into self-proclaimed spiritual leader Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati continues to uncover disturbing evidence as Delhi police recovered a sex toy and several CDs believed to contain explicit content.

On Wednesday, authorities escorted Chaitanyananda, whose birth name is Parthasarathy and who originates from Odisha, to his quarters at his Delhi Vasant Kunj ashram. Officials revealed that the 62-year-old had a preference for sex toys, with one such item discovered in his room. Investigators also found at least five CDs suspected to contain inappropriate videos, which one official cited as evidence of his "compulsive sexual behavior".

Additional items recovered included three falsified photographs showing Chaitanyananda, who stands accused of sexually assaulting at least 17 women, posing with former US President Barack Obama, a British politician, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These images were likely used to impress his followers and visitors.

These attempts to project importance align with the earlier discovery of counterfeit business cards claiming he was a "permanent ambassador" to the UN Economic and Social Council and a "special envoy" to the BRICS organization.

NDTV previously reported on Tuesday about the godman's inappropriate messages to his students. Examined conversations revealed he addressed one student as "sweetie baby daughter doll" and repeatedly sent messages calling her "baby" throughout the day. In one exchange, he directly propositioned a student, asking, "You'll not sleep with me?"

Perhaps most alarming were messages suggesting Chaitanyananda's involvement in sex trafficking, where he informed a student that a "Dubai Sheikh" required a sexual partner and inquired if she knew any "nice friend" who might be suitable.

When the woman declined, he expressed disbelief and pressured her to consider classmates or juniors for this purpose.

Sexual harassment cases were filed against Chaitanyananda in August, after which he evaded law enforcement for nearly two months before finally being apprehended at an Agra hotel on Sunday.

Police reported that he had checked into the accommodation on September 27 and remained confined to his room to avoid detection.

He has been placed in police custody for five days, and assets valued at approximately Rs 8 crore have been frozen.
