Man Shot by Neighbor with Air Gun in Southwest Delhi: Police Arrest Suspect

A 37-year-old man was hospitalized after his neighbor allegedly shot him with an air gun in southwest Delhi's Sagarpur area. The victim, Mukesh Kumar, sustained a lower back injury while riding a scooter with his son. Delhi Police have arrested the suspect, Anang Pal, and recovered the weapon.

Neighbour Shoots Man With Air Gun In Delhi, Arrested

The Delhi Police have arrested a man who allegedly shot his neighbor with an air gun in the Sagarpur area of southwest Delhi on Wednesday.

A 37-year-old resident, Mukesh Kumar, sustained an injury to his lower back and is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital following the incident.

According to authorities, the Sagarpur police station received an emergency call reporting that a person had been injured by air gun pellets.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Amit Goel stated, "Our investigation revealed that the victim, Mukesh Kumar from Sagarpur, had been admitted to Shakuntala Hospital with a wound on his lower back."

During the police interview, Kumar explained that he was near his residence with his son on a scooter when he suddenly felt something strike his back, similar to being hit by a ball. When he turned around, he reportedly saw his neighbor, Anang Pal, standing on his balcony holding an air gun.

Police officials confirmed that the suspect has been apprehended and the air gun has been seized as evidence. They added that further legal proceedings are underway against the accused.
