Adani Electricity announced Wednesday that it has successfully provided 653 temporary power connections to Navratri and Durga Puja pandals across Mumbai this year.
Mumbai:
Earlier this month, Adani Electricity Mumbai simplified the application process for festival organizers seeking temporary electricity connections. The utility company committed to delivering connections within 48 hours after application submission, emphasizing both safety and efficiency.
"We are proud to share that this year, we successfully provided temporary electricity connections to over 653 Durga Puja/Navratri pandals across the city. Adani Electricity recognizes the importance of uninterrupted power supply throughout these auspicious celebrations," stated a company spokesperson.
The spokesperson further added, "We understand the importance of uninterrupted power during these celebrations. Last year, we successfully provided continuous electricity to over 647 Durga Puja/Navratri pandals across the city. This year, we've strengthened our operations to ensure even faster connection releases and reliable supply."
During the recent Ganpati festival, Adani Electricity deployed approximately 950 temporary connections to Ganpati Pandals and installed over 2,571 floodlights at 167 Lord Ganesh idol immersion locations across 15 BMC wards to ensure devotees experienced safe and joyful celebrations.
Adani Electricity also implemented a Quick Response Team with a comprehensive restoration plan to address any unexpected issues during the festivities. The company issued safety guidelines recommending all pandals to utilize wiring services exclusively from licensed electrical contractors and install mandatory Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs) to protect devotees and volunteers from electrical hazards.
Focusing on safety, reliability, and convenient power access, Adani Electricity published a list of dos and don'ts for Navratri and Durga Puja pandals.
The company urged pandal organizers to use standard wires and switches for connections and permit only authorized personnel to enter meter cabins. Other recommendations included: "A fire extinguisher with operating knowledge is to be placed near the meter cabin. The danger board needs to be fixed near the meter cabin. Proper earthing at the meter cabin."
Additionally, Adani Electricity advised against using unauthorized extensions or direct supply, creating joints in wiring, placing obstacles at meter cabin entrances, and exceeding the sanctioned electrical load.
