Raipur police hurried to the lodge where they discovered the young man's body covered in blood.

In a disturbing incident that has shocked Chhattisgarh, authorities in Raipur on Sunday discovered the body of a young man at a local lodge in the Ganj police station jurisdiction. The horrifying murder was committed by his 16-year-old girlfriend, who admitted to the crime after returning to Bilaspur and revealing what happened to her mother.

Police reports indicate that the teenage girl, who resides in the Koni police station area of Bilaspur, had journeyed to Raipur on September 28 to meet her boyfriend, Mohammad Saddam. Saddam, a Bihar native, was employed as an MS Engineering officer in Abhanpur. The couple had checked into Avon Lodge, situated in Satkar Gali, Raman Mandir Ward, Raipur, where they had been staying since Saturday.

The investigation uncovered that their relationship had deteriorated after Saddam reportedly pressured the pregnant minor to terminate her pregnancy. Saddam had previously threatened her with a knife during an intense disagreement outside the lodge several days earlier.

On the night of September 28, while Saddam was asleep in the lodge room, the girl seized the same sharp weapon and cut his throat in a moment of fury. She subsequently locked the room from outside, took Saddam's mobile phone, and escaped. The lodge room key was later discarded onto nearby railway tracks in an attempt to hide evidence.

By the following morning, the teenager had made her way back to Bilaspur. When questioned by her mother, the girl crumbled and confessed. Horrified, her mother immediately took her to Koni police station, where she reported the incident. Following her disclosure, Raipur police rushed to Avon Lodge and recovered Saddam's body, which was drenched in blood.

Police officials stated that efforts are ongoing to contact Saddam's family in Bihar. "We have the deceased's phone in our possession, and we are attempting to reach his family members through the number. A case has been registered, and the minor girl, who is in conflict with the law, is being questioned," explained a senior Raipur police officer.

Sources revealed that the minor was three months pregnant and had refused to terminate the pregnancy. Saddam allegedly informed her that he would not marry her and insisted she end the pregnancy. This led to repeated conflicts between them, culminating in the fatal incident.

Police also confirmed that the deceased had earlier threatened the girl with the same knife that ultimately became the murder weapon. "This appears to be both a crime of passion and desperation. The investigation will determine whether it was planned or a spontaneous act," stated an investigating officer.

The murder has sent shockwaves through Raipur and Bilaspur, revealing the dark side of a teenage relationship that deteriorated from love into betrayal, violence, and death.
