New Delhi:
On Sunday morning, more than 300 schools and educational institutions in Delhi, along with several airports across the country, received bomb threats that were subsequently determined to be hoaxes, according to officials.
The threatening communications were sent by a group identifying themselves as 'Terrorizers111', which has been responsible for similar threats in the past.
Officials reported that the emails arrived simultaneously at 6:08 am, targeting over 300 email addresses associated with schools and educational institutions throughout Delhi. Delhi Airport and several other airports nationwide were also among the recipients, a police officer confirmed.
The email's subject line stated "Bombs placed around your building, react or face the disaster." The message continued with threatening language: "To the administration of schools and airports, I am the leader of terroristic group also known as terrorizers 111, through heaven and earth in this accursed world which in never anything goes as planned I alone am the untouchable one, I can't push myself to my limits because I am the limitless one, I am the child of evil, I am the meaning of hatred."
The threatening message concluded with "Bombs have been placed around your buildings, you have 24 hours to react or face the bloodpool."
A Delhi Fire Services representative identified two of the affected schools as CRPF Public School in Dwarka and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya near Qutub Minar.
"Police teams, fire personnel, and bomb disposal units were promptly deployed to the affected schools to carry out a search operation properly. However, nothing suspicious was found," the official stated.
This incident is part of a troubling pattern, as numerous educational institutions in Delhi have been repeatedly targeted with bomb threats in recent months. Approximately a week ago, several schools including DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and another Sarvodaya Vidyalaya received similar threats.
On September 9, the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) also received a bomb threat that was later determined to be false. That same day, similar threats were reported at Maulana Azad Medical College and the Delhi Secretariat.
