23-Year-Old Arrested in Goa for Revenge Porn After Relationship Ended

Goa Police have apprehended a 23-year-old individual for allegedly distributing intimate photographs of his former girlfriend across social media platforms following their separation, authorities announced on Sunday.

The suspect, identified as Mohamad Sadhim, allegedly acquired private images of the woman while they were in a relationship, according to a Cyber Crime Police official.

When the woman terminated their relationship, Sadhim, who resides in North Goa, created fraudulent social media accounts in her name and shared these personal images with her social circle.

"After conducting a thorough investigation and technical analysis, the suspect was located and arrested during operations in Margao and Panaji. He has been charged under sections 79 and 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act," police stated.

A local judicial authority has extended his police custody until Tuesday.
