Karimnagar:
A 28-year-old man was reportedly killed in Jagtial district after posting an Instagram message about a woman from his community, according to police officials.
The deceased, Edurugatla Satish, who worked as a driver from Rechapalli village in Sarangapur mandal, had previously been involved in a relationship with the woman, police confirmed.
Police investigations revealed that the woman had recently communicated to Satish her intention to end their relationship, citing her family's ongoing search for a suitable marriage partner.
Distressed by this development, Satish allegedly shared a message on Instagram expressing his feelings for her and issued a warning that no one should marry her.
This social media post reportedly enraged the woman's relatives, who subsequently confronted Satish at his home around 7 pm on Saturday. "During the confrontation, they allegedly assaulted him with wooden sticks, resulting in his immediate death," stated a police officer.
The Jagtial rural police inspector reported, "A murder case has been registered against three individuals - Nathari Vinanji, Shantha Vinanji, and Jala." The victim's body has been transferred for post-mortem examination, and authorities are working to apprehend the suspects, police added.
