The incident occurred late on September 26 near a local pub where Aditya Agarwal, the accused, was stopped on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to police reports, Agarwal refused to take the mandatory breathalyser test and behaved inappropriately with the female officer. He reportedly demanded that she communicate in Hindi or English instead of Kannada.

The female officer's complaint details that around 12:05 am during the routine check, Agarwal used inappropriate language and deliberately insulted her while refusing to comply with testing procedures.

Based on the complaint, authorities filed a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Section 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), Section 351(2) (criminal intimidation), and Section 132 (assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of duty).
