22-Year-Old Man Jumps to Death From 11th Floor Following Girlfriend Dispute in Maharashtra

Police have urged the public not to circulate the video footage of Parab's fatal fall.

A tragedy occurred in Maharashtra's Thane district on Saturday when a 22-year-old man ended his life by jumping from the 11th floor of a residential building following a dispute with his girlfriend, according to police reports.

The devastating incident, which was captured on a mobile device, took place in Dombivali where Rishikesh Parab fell to his death from the Sudama building located in the Umesh Nagar area.

Police investigations revealed that Parab, who resided on the sixth floor of the same building, had engaged in a heated argument with his girlfriend during a phone conversation earlier that morning. Following the dispute, he reportedly threw his phone inside his residence and proceeded to the building's terrace around 8:00 am.

Senior Inspector Ram Chopde of Vishnu Nagar police station confirmed that Parab jumped from the 11th floor at approximately 12 noon, with the impact resulting in his immediate death.

"Initial investigations indicate that this extreme action was triggered by a disagreement with his girlfriend. We have currently registered an accidental death report (ADR), and investigations are continuing," the senior inspector stated.

Authorities have made a compassionate appeal to citizens, requesting them not to share the video of Parab's fall out of respect for his grieving family's feelings.
